Đề thi 09/06/2023 - Topic: Environment

Some people think that the main benefit of international cooperation is protection of the environment. Others believe the main benefit is in the world of business.

Phân tích đề: Đây cũng là dạng đề Discuss both views, đề hỏi là lợi chính của việc hợp tác quốc tế là vì môi trường, hay vì lợi ích kinh doanh. Thật sự mình chọn nghiêng hẳn về cái nào cũng không hợp lý, vì môi trường là vấn đề toàn cầu (ví dụ như biến đổi khí hậu), nếu môi trường mà tệ đi thì kinh tế cũng sẽ không tốt.
Còn lại hợp tác quốc tế để giao thương mua bán thì nó quá hiển nhiên rồi, giúp kinh tế phát triển xoá đói giảm nghèo (Việt Nam mình chẳng hạn, nền kinh tế của mình phụ thuộc rất lớn vào hoạt động xuất nhập khẩu).
Do không thể nghiêng hẳn về bên nào, nên chúng mình chọn là cả 2 đều quan trọng:
Mình tập trung giải thích là tại sao hợp tác quốc tế giúp bảo vệ môi trường? Vì nhiều vấn đề môi trường nó mang tính toàn cầu, các nước phải hợp tác mới xử lý được (pollution / climate change)
=> Môi trường giúp đảm bảo sự phát triển bền vững/ dài hạn.
Tại sao hợp tác quốc tế có lợi cho kinh tế? Hợp tác quốc tế giúp tăng cường giao thương, các nước mở rộng thị trường và có thêm vốn đầu tư.
Câu 1 là topic sentence không có gì đặc biệt.
=> Câu 2 mình đưa fact là thế giới đang đối mặt nhiều vấn đề môi trường mang tính toàn cầu.
=> Câu 3 do có nhiều vấn đề vậy nên cần hợp tác => các nước chia sẻ cách làm hay, chia sẻ kết quả nghiên cứu (collaborate on environmental research and share best practices), hoặc có những thỏa thuận chung (reach international agreements)
=> Câu 4 đưa ra hệ quả là nếu collab toàn cầu vậy thì có lợi gì.
Câu 1 cũng vẫn topic sentence đơn giản thôi nhen
=> Câu 2 & 3 lần lượt mình sẽ đưa ra cái lợi của hợp tác kinh tế quốc tế
=> Câu 4 sẽ là ví dụ về các nước hưởng lợi từ sự hợp tác này.
Bài này mình sẽ lặp khá nhiều lần ý ‘hợp tác quốc tế’, đầu tiên thì sẽ lặp từ 'international cooperation' rồi nè, ngoài ra mình có thể diễn đạt là

Opinions are divided on whether the main benefit of international cooperation is found in environmental protection or the global economy. I think that increased collaboration between nations can result in both, as countries hold both in equal regard.
On the one hand, the significance of international cooperation in protecting the environment is too great to ignore. As the world is facing increasing environmental issues that transcend national boundaries, like pollution and climate change, no single country can deal with them alone. Hence, there is a great need for coordinated efforts, through which many countries with a range of expertise can collaborate on environmental research and share best practices, and even reach international agreements. This can aid in protecting critically endangered species and conserving biodiversity, which leads to a more sustainable environment around the world.
On the other hand, it is undeniable that multinational initiatives also benefit the world of business. In fact, in today’s globalized economy, cooperation is one of the main factors that facilitates trade, removes barriers and fosters economic growth. In other words, by promoting free trade, countries can have access to new markets, and attract foreign investment, which in turn, leads to innovation and technological advancement. For instance, developing countries like China, Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries are developing at a lightning-fast pace, bringing benefits to both themselves and other countries involved.
In conclusion, while international cooperation plays a vital role in addressing global environmental challenges, it also paves the way for economic growth and free trade among nations. The emphasis on these two aspects helps ensure both short-term and long-term development of human society and the global economy. (273 words)
